Ju-Jitsu is one of the most comprehensive Self defence systems in the world. It has a wide range of techniques to suit all ages and builds. Ju-Jitsu will teach you how to defend yourself effectively against aggressive attackers.
It is one of Japan's oldest Martial Arts, Developed in an era of almost continuous Warfare. Its techniques were tried and refined in actual combat, with only the very best lasting through to the present day. But don't think that Ju-Jitsu has stayed still though! Its syllabus is expanding all the time to take in requirements of the modern day. So wide is the syllabus of effective techniques that it doesn't matter how strong, weak, tall or short you are, there are techniques that will suit.
Ju-Jitsu is effective because it uses scientific principles, not just brute force. If someone pushes you, you can then use the well-developed principle of yielding by using the aggressor’s strength against them, thus rendering your opponent helpless.
Ju-Jitsu distracts the attacker by using strikes to nerve points that can daze or stun A simple throw can then take them hard to the floor. Ju-Jitsu attacks the aggressors vulnerable joints, a little leverage skillfully applied will bring the strongest attacker to his knees.
The mechanics of Ju-Jitsu techniques are not difficult to follow. The average person who knows nothing about Martial Arts will quickly learn highly effective techniques in as few as twelve lessons! Only one evening a week will guarantee you some degree of competence. Our expert coaches are trained to teach effectively and safely, you are insured of personal attention.
Although Ju-Jitsu is a vigorous and practical Martial Art it is also a safe one to learn, because it relies upon yielding and relaxation. Our spacious facilities mean that the matt area is never over crowded and our coaches are on hand at all times to ensure that your practise is as safe as it can be made.
If you already practice another Martial Art, Ju-jitsu training will widen your knowledge and abilities. Its study will complement what you are already doing and give added versatility.

Training in Ju-Jitsu quickly develop both self confidence and competence, as you grow in both, so the techniques taught will become steadily more and more intricate. As you reach each distinct stage in development, so you will be rewarded by advancement along Ju-Jitsu's system of coloured belts, leading eventually to the coveted BLACK BELT.
